| Grasshopperwinch.com is a division of Micro Logic. Micro Logic's president Jim Lewis
has been flying sailplanes for many years. Jim likes to find novel ways
to do things and thought about a mechanical winch for nearly 10 years.
Prototype design began in 2001 followed by two years of refinement. Initial public release in September 2003. Parts
for the winch are made by eMachineShop.com - another division of Micro
Logic, where anyone can design and order custom parts via the internet.
In addition to flying model sailplanes, Jim has
interests in the game of GO, artificial intelligence, machining, and
various kinds of gadgets.
