The Grasshopper winch includes the following main sections:

• Chassis - the blue metal sections
• The power spring - top - you can't see the ~30 layers inside the spool.
• The spring leader - connects spring to power spool.
• Power spool - lower left - spring winds onto power spool to generate torque
• The gears - increases rotations of the tow spool.
• The tow spool - lower right - winds the line to tow your plane
• Tow guide bars - keeps line winding onto spool

You carry the winch by holding the rear shaft shown at the top.

The Grasshopper winch comes complete with all parts shown plus ground stake and clear instructions.
